A €31 million improvement plan for Barceloneta covers work on facilities, housing and public space through 2028. Within that total, €14.3 million is allocated to public space and €3.5 million to maintenance. Coastal Land Acquisition for Public Use

Barcelona authorities acquired 62.8 hectares of coastal land between Barceloneta and Sant Adrià de Besòs. The land is committed to exclusive public needs with no profit-making projects allowed.
