Investment Plan Details

A separate 31 million euro investment plan runs from 2024 to 2028 and targets structural improvements in Barceloneta. The plan allocates 14.3 million euros to public space improvements, 3.5 million euros to the comprehensive maintenance plan and a 10 million euro reserve connected to the America's Cup. Two housing blocks for the elderly are scheduled for renovation alongside construction of new public housing.

Agreements on Homes and Healthcare

Barcelona City Council and the Catalan government have committed to building at least 1,700 public homes and accelerating work on a new primary healthcare centre for Barceloneta. These targets require coordinated timelines between the two administrations to meet delivery schedules.
