Residents who rely on the number 12 bus line between the old town square and the industrial estate will see monthly pass prices rise by 3 euros for adults and stay unchanged for seniors and students. Single-ride tickets on the tram network will include a new 24-hour option priced at 4.50 euros, replacing the previous day pass that expired at midnight.
Budget figures and next steps
The 2026-27 local budget paper records an allocation of 2.8 million euros to cover the subsidy component of the expanded passes. That figure covers the first nine months of operation and will be reviewed in the March 2027 quarterly report.
Implementation begins with distribution of new pass cards at the municipal transport office on Plaza de la Catedral from September 15. Riders must register existing cards by September 30 to avoid service interruptions after the October 1 switchover. The transport authority will issue printed notices on all vehicles detailing the revised prices and registration locations.
