Utility Affordability Act to Adjust Monthly Bills for Poblenou Households

Why the change arrives now
State budget documents released in May showed that average household energy outlays rose 14 percent in the prior fiscal year, driven by wholesale price contracts renewed in January. Implementation begins with meter readings scheduled between 1 and 15 October. Providers must publish updated tariff schedules on their websites by 20 August, and the regional consumer affairs office will open a dedicated hotline for Poblenou residents on 1 September.
