Barceloneta residents have two established clubs that run youth programs year-round. Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta operates as the public option while Club Natació Barcelona functions as the private club, both located along the beachfront and open to children for swimming, paddle and squash sessions.

These clubs matter now because families need reliable local options before the next school term begins. Barcelona City Council updates its Guide to Sports Activities each year, listing approved programs by district and age group for children aged 6 to 17.

Club options in the neighborhood

Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta was established in 1907 and runs multisport activities for children, youth and adults. Club Natació Barcelona maintains facilities that include children’s swimming pools and serves roughly 6,000 members with 130 staff, remaining open every day of the year.

Bonasport Club adds further choices with tennis, padel, martial arts and inline skating for kids, operating weekend and holiday hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Barcelona City Council runs the annual Campus Olímpia summer sports programme that accepts children aged 3 to 17, including dedicated sessions for those aged 14 to 17.
