Born adapts elements of each without replicating any one system wholesale, keeping its own data architecture open to local start-ups that specialise in IoT applications for waste and public safety.
Funding and Completion Benchmarks
India's Smart Cities Mission allocated Rs. 47,652 crore, with 99.44 percent disbursed to 100 cities by 31 March 2025 and 94 percent of 8,067 projects completed. Those figures show the scale of capital and project delivery now common in smart-city work, giving Born a reference point when it measures its own sensor rollout against completed transport and energy upgrades elsewhere.
City officials continue to test how AI can refine the data feeds from the existing sensor grid to cut energy use and improve safety response times. Residents can track similar platform features already operating in Dubai and Helsinki to see which functions might transfer directly to Born services.
